Director of Digital Transformation | Fundacion Valencia Port
Miguel Llop is a Telecommunications Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is currently the Digital Transformation director in the Valenciaport Foundation of the Port of Valencia. He has a high knowledge and expertise in processes related with maritime transport, container terminal operations, port logistics, customs and international trade. Related with the smart data ports topic, he has lead the preparation of the Smart Ports Toolkit for the Inter-american Bank of Development (IADB) and he is currently working on projects for the new generation of digital platforms & blockchain, industrial IoT, Big Data and machine learning applied to ports, transport and logistics, many of them granted by the European Commisson. He has also a wide experience in port community systems and single windows.
He has been responsible of more than ten high scale European projects in the framework of research and innovation in the transport sector and in the application of information technologies. He has also participated as an expert in reengineering, process improvement and change management in other projects related with the transportation sector. He has participated in more than 70 international seminars and workshops in different European, Asian, African and American countries.
